GCC Economic Agreement
Objectives of the agreement:
aims at economic integration among GCC countries in the trade of goods, services, industry, and government procurement. Entry into effect: November 1981:
Advantages:
- Remove all customs duties and restrictions on intra-GCC trade and apply unified customs tariffs on GCC imports.
- Liberalize trade in services sectors for hybrid service providers.
- Grant the same treatment to GCC products, services, and service providers for national products.
- Streamline movement of GCC natural and legal persons.
- Provide the same privileges as citizens in government procurement.
