GCC Free Trade Agreement with EFTA countries
Objectives of the agreement:
aiming at liberalizing trade in goods and services by removing or reducing tariffs and limiting the application of non-tariff measures. Entry into effect: 1 July 2015
Advantages:
- Liberalize trade in goods by removing or reducing tariffs while excluding some industrial goods from the exemption for religious, environmental, or health reasons.
- Liberalize trade in services by offering higher commitments than those offered under WTO and limiting restrictions through domestic legislation.
