His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi, Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the board of directors of the General Authority of Foreign Trade headed Saudi Arabia's delegation to the Ministerial Meeting of G20 Trade, Investment, and Industry. Which held on 21-23 Sep 2022, In Bali, Indonesia.

The concerned ministers of G20 member states and the invited countries attended the meeting, which held on Thursday, to discuss the most prominent priorities of the group work regarding the reforms of the World Trade Organization. In addition, the importance of supporting the multilateral trading system to enhance achieving sustainable development goals, the response of trade, investment and industry to the pandemic and global health structuring. In addition, ways of stimulating sustainable investment to support global economic recovery, ensuring members can benefit from digital trade and global value chains, as well as discussing opportunities to enable digital transformations through Industry 4.0 for inclusive and sustainable industrialization.

Al-Kassabi​ held several bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the group's work in Bali, Indonesia, during which he met with his counterparts from the G20 countries, the invited countries, and several government officials to discuss areas of cooperation and partnership, develop relations and enhance trade and investment cooperation.

In light of His Excellency's visit the Minister of Commerce, the work of the Saudi-Indonesian Business Council and the Business Forum held in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, with the participation of Saudi and Indonesian companies, aiming to strengthen and develop trade and investment partnerships, taking advantage of the available opportunities and transforming them into tangible partnerships.

It is worth noting that the sisterly Republic of Indonesia is hosting the G20 this year with the slogan, “We recover together, to recover stronger." At an important time when the efforts of all countries to face global challenges to build a strong and developed global economy are increasing, and the efforts of the G20 member states ministers in responding to trade disorders and global supply chains and to restore confidence in the global economy by supporting international trade and investment.
