His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi, Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Foreign Trade confirmed the role of redoubling efforts between the Islamic countries, members of the Standing Committee for Economic and Trade Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation(COMCEC) to expand ways of collaboration in economic and commercial fields.

Dr. Al-Kassabi while heading the Kingdom participating delegation in the 38^th session meeting, which was held in Istanbul - Türkiye, said that achieving economic and development integration between Islamic countries requires maximizing the optimization of Islamic countries' capabilities which are bonds of brotherhood, religion, and destiny to face challenges living worldwide.

In the sidelines of his excellency's visit to Türkiye he held bilateral meetings with: the Minister of Commerce of Türkiye Dr. Mehmet Muş, H.E Minister of Treasury and Finance of Türkiye Dr. Nureddin Nebati, H.E the Communication Director of Türkiye​ Dr. Fahrettin Altun, H.E the Minister of Commerce and Industry of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, H.E Minister of Economy of UAE Mr. Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, H.E the Minister of Economy of Oman Mr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, H.E the Minister of State Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria Mr. Zubairu Dada, H.E the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning of Sudan Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim Mohammed, H.E the Minister of Commerce of Tunis Fadhila Rebhi Bin Hamza, H.E the Chairman of Islamic Development Bank Dr. Muhammad Suliman Al Jasser, H.E the Chairman of Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture Mr. Abdullah Saleh Kamel, H.E the President of Turkic Chamber of Commerce Mr. Rifat Hisarciklioglu, in addition to major Turkish companies, and heads of business sector and business federation.

It is worth mentioning that The Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) considers one of the four Standing Committees of the OIC, COMCEC was established in Mecca, in 1981. COMCEC has 57 Member Countries as well as 5 Observer Countries which are spread over four continents.
