H.E. Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi, Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Foreign Trade (GAFT), participated on Sunday, 28 June 2026, in the 71^st Extraordinary Virtual Meeting of the GCC Commercial Cooperation Committee. The meeting was attended by H.E. Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), along with Their Excellencies the Ministers of Commerce and Industry of the GCC Member States.

The participants reviewed the outcomes of the 19^th Consultative Meeting of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the Leaders of the GCC Member States, as well as the steps undertaken by the GCC General Secretariat to prepare a study aimed at strengthening Gulf integration across strategic sectors.

During the meeting, H.E. Dr. AL-Kassabi emphasized the importance of advancing Gulf integration through the strategic initiatives discussed, which are designed to address challenges affecting the smooth flow of regional supply chains.

It is worth mentioning that GAFT works to enhance the Kingdom’s international trade gains and strengthen its global presence through active participation in international organizations, contributing to the achievement of shared objectives.
