His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Foreign Trade, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi, met with His Excellency the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Mr. Tayeb Zitouni, and his delegation on Thursday, November 23, 2023, in Riyadh at the General Authority of Foreign Trade.

AlKassabi stressed the importance of enhancing trade and investment relations, building partnerships with the private sector in various fields between both countries and strategic relations with the Republic of Algeria within the interests of both countries, and creating and exploring fields and cooperation opportunities that facilitate the Kingdom's programs and objectives to meet the diverse developments.

His Excellency expressed the Kingdom's keenness to enhance its trade relations with Algeria through exchanging visits and holding trade exhibitions that contribute to introducing opportunities and increasing the Kingdom's exports and the importance of committing to utilizing the entry procedures for goods and products by reducing customs regulations that interfere with inter-regional trade.

It is worth mentioning that the trade exchange between the Kingdom and Algeria was almost 12.6 billion riyals during 2018 and 2022. Plastic and their products were recoded as the most significant Saudi exports, and metal products being the most significant Algerian imports.
