The General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT) representative by Trade Remedies Deputyship held several introductory workshops on the Law of Trade Remedies in International Trade, which attended by the Saudi BAR Association, SOCPA, and multiple law and accounting firms. At GAFT in Riyadh, On Monday 6 February 2023.

The workshop aimed to introduce the new law of trade remedies and to clarify the purpose of its publication – which released by the Supreme Royal approval in November 2022-. Moreover, the workshop touched upon introducing the General Authority of Foreign Trade, Trade Remedies Deputyship, and explaining the role of law and accounting sectors in trade remedies.

It is noteworthy, the Law of Trade Remedies in International Trade lends protection to domestic industry from injury caused by dumped and subsidized imports, and safeguards from the increase of imports. In addition, the law contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of the national products and attracting new investments and industries to achieve the Kingdom 2030 vision's objectives.
