Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade, represented by the Deputyship of Trade Remedies held a virtual workshop, Thursday, 9 October 2025, to introduce Trade Remedies Law and its Implementing Regulations. The workshop was directed toward Riyadh Chamber with participation of more than 50 companies from various commercial sectors.

The workshop aimed to introduce the Saudi law on trade remedies, GAFT’s role in protecting domestic industry, the impact of applying trade remedy instruments, as well as appropriate mechanisms to address injury on domestic industries. It also outlined GAFT’s role in handling trade remedy complaints and procedures for dealing with confidential data.

The workshop reflects GAFT’s commitment to strengthening communication with the private sector and raising awareness among the business sector regarding the Trade Remedies Law and its regulations in the context of international trade. In addition to GAFT’s efforts to safeguard domestic industry from unfair trade practices, thereby enhancing its competitiveness.

GAFT seeks to strengthen and maximize Saudi Arabia’s international trade gains and defend its interests in the field of foreign trade, contributing to the development and growth of the national economy.
