The General Authority for Foreign Trade (GAFT) held an introductory workshop on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, at the Ministry of Finance headquarters, covering the World Trade Organization (WTO), Trade Policy Reviews (TPRs), and the Saudi Negotiating Team. The workshop was organized to familiarize the Ministry of Finance and its affiliated entities with the Kingdom’s international trade commitments, including its obligations under the WTO and the latest developments in this area.  

The workshop provided an overview of the World Trade Organization, the Trade Policy Review process, and WTO members’ obligations related to trade policies. It also introduced the technical teams operating under the Saudi Negotiating Team, outlining their respective mandates and responsibilities.

It is worth mentioning that GAFT is responsible for all matters related to the Kingdom’s trade agreements and trade policies. The Authority works to facilitate the access of Saudi exports to international markets and remove external trade barriers, thereby enhancing the Kingdom’s international trade gains, safeguarding its trade interests, and contributing to the growth of the national economy.
