The General Authority of Foreign Trade, in representation of the Deputyship of International Organizations and Agreements, held in cooperation with the Saudi Exports Development Authority and The Federation of Saudi Chambers a virtual workshop titled “The Free Trade Agreement between GCC Countries and the Republic of Singapore" on Monday, December 11, 2023. The workshop was held by His Excellency the Deputy Governor of the Deputyship of International Organizations and Agreements, Mr. Fareed bin Saeed Alasaly. The Head of Agreements and Trade Policy, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulmohsen Albaz, participated in leading the workshop.

The workshop discussed numerous significant topics, including introducing trade agreements and their kinds, the Free Trade Agreement between GCC countries and the Republic of Singapore, the scope of the Agreement and its coverage of trade liberalization in goods and services, the privileges and obligations under the Agreement, and the participation of more than 30 Saudi companies in diverse sectors.

It is worth noting that the GAFT is working​ on all topics regarding agreements and trade policies in relation to the Kingdom's foreign trade to enable Saudi exports to foreign markets, opening new markets and removing external constraints, enhancing the Kingdom's foreign trade gains, and defending its interests in foreign trade fields, thereby contributing to the development of the national economy.
