The Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade, represented by the Deputyship of Shared Services, launched its Training and Development Program for its overseas delegates on Sunday, June 29, 2025. The three-week program was held at GAFT’s headquarters in Riyadh and aimed to enhance the performance and efficiency of its delegates, thereby positively reflecting on Saudi Arabia’s trade relations and international reputation.

The program covered all tasks, responsibilities, and operations of GAFT across key areas such as international organizations and agreements, trade remedies, international relations, private sector affairs, and international representation, in addition to the roles of various departments within GAFT.

Mr. Mohammed Al-Abduljabbar, Acting Governor of GAFT, emphasized that the launch of this program reflects GAFT’s commitment to developing its human capital and enabling its staff to work efficiently. He noted that removing obstacles and ensuring business continuity will help strengthen KSA’s international trade relations and its representation in all regional and international forums, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Mr. Nasser Al-Degaither, Deputy Governor for Shared Services, stated that training and upskilling GAFT personnel is a top priority and a fundamental pillar of the GAFT’s leadership approach. He stressed that this strategic direction will directly contribute to enhancing KSA’s trade relationships and protecting its commercial interests.

GAFT aims to strengthen and maximize KSA’s international trade gains and safeguard its interests in foreign trade, thereby contributing to the growth of the national economy.
