The General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT), represented by Mr. Jihad Alhuthail, Director General of the International Organizations Department, participated in the preparatory meeting for the 41st Ministerial Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC). The session is scheduled to take place from November 3 to 4, 2025, in Istanbul, Türkiye.

The 41st Ministerial Session focuses on exploring avenues to strengthen export development strategies among OIC member states, reviewing the achievements of the six COMCEC working groups, and discussing the Committee’s report on the implementation of its strategy and the OIC Programme of Action. The meeting also aims to assess progress in key areas of economic and commercial cooperation.

During the meeting, Mr. Alhuthail underscored the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to sharing its leading international practices in trade, thereby contributing to the advancement and effectiveness of economic and commercial cooperation among OIC members through active engagement in COMCEC initiatives.
