The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, chaired by H.E. Dr. Saad Al-Kassabi, on behalf of H.E. Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade, Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi, concluded its participation in the 69th Meeting of the Committee for Commercial Cooperation of the Gulf Cooperation Council. The meeting was held on Wednesday, 29 October 2025, in Kuwait, with the participation of H.E. the Secretary-General of the GCC, Mr. Jasem Albudaiwi, Acting Governor of GAFT, Mr. Mohammed Al-Abduljabbar and Their Excellencies the Ministers of Commerce from the GCC member states.

The meeting discussed updates on negotiations on free trade agreements with countries and international blocs, as well as the developments of the GCC Investment Undersecretaries Committee. It also followed up the preparation and implementation of draft commercial regulations (laws) for the GCC countries, in addition to following up the joint Gulf cooperation efforts and enhancing dialogue with entrepreneurs and the private sector.

Their Excellencies also reviewed the report of the GCC Secretariat General on the work of the subcommittees under the main Committee and followed up on the implementation of previous resolutions.

Moreover, the delegation participated in the 10th Meeting of GCC Ministerial Committee on Standardization Affairs, which discussed updates of the GCC Standardization Organization and reviewed the implementation of previous resolutions, demonstrating commitment to enhance cooperation among GCC countries in standardization fields to support intra-GCC trade and joint economic growth.

Furthermore, H.E. participated in the 6th Consultative Meeting between the GCC Ministers of Commerce, Industry and entrepreneurs. He also met with H.E. Minister of Commerce and Industry of Kuwait, Mr. Khalifa Al-Askar, H.E. Minister of Industry and Commerce of Bahrain, Abdulla Fakhro, H.E. UK Minister of State for Trade Policy Mr. Chris Bryant, H.E. Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers Mr. Hassan Al-Huwaizi, and H.E. Chairman of the Federation of GCC Chambers, Sheikh Faisal Al-Rawas.

The volume of trade between KSA and GCC reached approximately SAR 229 billion in 2024, marking a 10% increase compared to 2023.
