​The Kingdom's delegation, headed by the Deputy Governor of the General Authority for Foreign Trade for International Agreements and Organizations Fareed Alasaly, on behalf of H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the General Authority for Foreign Trade Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Alqasabi, participates at the 3rd Ministerial Meeting of the TPS-OIC Negotiating Committee in Istanbul, Türkiye​.

Through the delegation participation, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its commitment to effective joint dialogue and contribution with the member countries to promote trade cooperation, as prescribed in the declarations and resolutions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the council of foreign ministers, and the ministerial meeting of (COMCEC), in pursuit of achieving the inter-Trade Goal of 25%, as provided in the (OIC) implementation plan of 2025.

The Kingdom commends the hard work of the (COMCEC) Coordination Office and (OIC) Trade Centre as Co-Secretaries of the Trade Negotiating Committee (TNC).

The Kingdom's participation comes from its significant belief in enhancing the member countries' Trade Preferential System (TPS), one of the pillars of (COMCEC). It stimulates and promotes inter-member trade and explores the pivotal opportunities and the system role that may play in increasing inter-member trade, especially as it is a core for inclusive trade partnerships among member countries.

The General Authority for Foreign Trade is working to enhance the gains of the Kingdom of International Trade, its international presence and active participation in many international organizations, to ensure the achievement of common goals and sustainable development.
