H.E. Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi General Authority for Foreign Trade Dr. Majed Al-Kassabi, opened the Saudi French Business Forum on Sunday, 23 November 2025 in Riyadh alongside The French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Attractiveness, Mr. Nicolas Forissier.

In the opening speech, H.E. Al-Kassabi, affirmed Saudi Arabia’s keenness to develop its relations and partnerships with The French Republic, which are built on mutual respect, and to enhance ways for trade cooperation and developing shared economic opportunities.

The Forum witnessed the participation of more than 230 leading Saudi and French companies, aiming to explore cooperation opportunities and develop trade partnerships in fields such as smart cities, sports, culture, and advanced technology, in addition to strengthening the economic and investment presence between the two friendly countries.

The trade volume between the two countries reached approximately USD 48 billion. Key Saudi exports included machinery, mechanical appliances and equipment, and aerospace vehicles, while key French imports included machinery, mechanical appliances and equipment, and pharmaceutical products. Moreover, trade between the two countries grew at an average rate of 15.37% during 2020–2024.
