The Deputyship of Shared Services, in representation of the General Authority of Foreign Trade, held a training program for its employees titled "Facilitating Trade". It is a program designed to understand and apply the principles of facilitating international trade with the cooperation of the Financial Academy. The program was held in Riyadh from December 24–28, 2023.

The objective of the training program is to learn about the conceptual framework, fully understand the primary components to facilitate international trade (the fifth, eighth, and tenth articles from the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade), and have full knowledge of the texts of the World Trade Agreement in regard to facilitating trade.

The program additionally aims to comprehend the role of the World Customs Organization in facilitating international trade and the effective application of the proposed recommendations for the establishment and achievement of a major facilitation of international trade, in addition to the correct utilization of mechanisms in facilitating international trade.

It is worth noting that the program is part of the Authority's efforts to improve the efficiency of its employees, support them, and provide them with the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the Authority's mandates, thus developing the national economy. Twenty-four trainees participated in the program from various deputyships and departments in the Authority.
