The Deputy Governor of the Authority for International Agreements and Organizations,Chairman of the Saudi Negotiating Team Mr. Fareed bin Saeed Al-Asaly headed the second meeting of the Saudi Negotiating Team for 2023 on Wednesday 8 March 2023, at the Authority's headquarters in Riyadh, in the presence of Heads of technical negotiating teams, Heads of departments and coordinators of technical teams.

The meeting aims to prepare for holding the third round of Free Trade Agreement Negotiations between the GCC countries and the United Kingdom during the period 12-16 March 2023, at the headquarter of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.

During the meeting the team reviewed a summary of negotiations progress, and discussed the agreement terms with the heads of the technical negotiating teams. The meeting also included the topics of technical negotiating teams that are specialized in goods, rules of origin, investment, services,e-commerce, texts, and general provisions.

It is mentioned that the Saudi negotiating team works to supervise and follow-up on the trade negotiations progress to ensure their compatibility with the Kingdom's commercial objectives and policies,to participate in trade negotiations to include the Kingdom's negotiating decisions, and to coordinate with identical or similar orientations in international trade.
