The Opening of the Regional Trade Policy Course (RTPC) for the Middle East

The Authority Governor, Mr. Mohammad Alabduljabar, and the President of King Saud University, Dr. Abdullah Alsalman, inaugurated the Regional Trade Policy Course (RTPC) for the Middle East on Sunday, October 13, 2024, in cooperation King Saud University and WTO, with the participation of (9) countries and some Saudi governmental entities. 

The RTPC held annually for (8) weeks, with the participation of approximately (25) government officials, WTO trainers, and the following countries the Republic of Algeria, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Arab Republic of Egypt, Kuwait, the Kingdom of Morocco, the Comoros and the sultanate of Oman.

The course focuses on familiarizing the economic and legal aspects of WTO rules, deepening the participants’ understanding of the WTO agreements, rules, and procedures, and supporting them to formulate the trade policies of their countries and acquiring skills in trade policy analysis for the Organization's member countries and the positive and negative impact on Arab countries.
