​​Acting Minister of Commerce​, and has held a number of ministerial positions, including Minister of Social Affairs between 2015-2016 and  Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs from 2018-2020. He also has previously held a number of senior positions, including Advisor to the Crown Prince's Office in the rank of Minister, Head of Private Affairs of His Highness the Crown Prince as Minister, Director General of Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Charitable Foundation, Secretary-General of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering at King Abdulaziz University. He holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Portland, USA, a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, USA, and another Master's degree in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri, USA.​​
