GAFT Concludes Training and Development Program for Its Delegates Abroad
The Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade, represented by the Deputyship of Shared Services, concluded the Training and Development Program for its delegates abroad on Thursday, July 24, 2025. The three-week program was held at GAFT’s headquarters in Riyadh, with the aim of enhancing the performance and efficiency of its delegates in commercial offices and trade attachés, thereby strengthening Saudi Arabia’s trade relations and international reputation. It was attended by H.E. Mr. Hamoud bin Saad Al-Maliki, Director General of the General Department of Human Resources. The program covered all tasks, responsibilities, and operations of GAFT in areas such as international organizations and agreements, trade remedies, international relations, private sector affairs, and international representation, in addition to the work conducted by various departments.

In cooperation with the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute of Diplomatic Studies, the program discussed a range of fields related to public relations in diplomatic work, diplomatic and consular law, KSA’s economic policy, and foreign aid.
It also included an introduction to the World Trade Organization, addressing topics such as goods, tariffs, trade remedies, services, and trade-related intellectual property rights, in collaboration with the WTO.
GAFT further organized field visits for the delegates to the Ministry of Investment, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), the Saudi Export Development Authority, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Saudi EXIM Bank, and the Federation of Saudi Chambers, allowing them to gain insights into the practices and experiences of government entities engaged in trade and to benefit from their international expertise.
GAFT seeks to strengthen and maximize KSA’s international trade gains and safeguard its interests in foreign trade, thereby contributing to the growth of the national economy.
