A delegation from Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade, headed by Mr. Nasser Al-Dughaither Deputy Governor for Shared Services visited Lucid a leading manufacturer of electric vehicles on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the company’s factory in King Abdullah Economic City. The visit aimed to receive several Lucid vehicles designated for GAFT’s commercial attachés and overseas offices, to promote Saudi industry globally, support national industries, and enhance Saudi Arabia’s exports to Global markets.

The visit included a presentation on Lucid’s establishment and growth journey. Lucid is recognized as the first Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in the automotive sector to be awarded the “Saudi Made” mark an achievement that highlights its ability to produce world-class electric vehicles with Saudi expertise and underscores its contribution to the development of the automotive industry in KSA.

The delegation also toured the company’s factory to review the vehicle manufacturing process. The visit concluded with GAFT receiving a fleet of Lucid vehicles designated for its overseas attachés and offices.

Mr. Al-Degaither affirmed that KSA has become a pivotal global hub for industry, particularly in the field of electric vehicle manufacturing. The presence of major companies such as Lucid in the Saudi market reinforces KSA’s role as a global center for future industries, contributing to increased local content, growth in non-oil exports, industrial localization, and knowledge transfer.

GAFT works to enhance KSA’s international trade gains and represent it in regional and international organizations and forums related to foreign trade ensuring the achievement of common goals and sustainable development.
