Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade held a virtual workshop on Wednesday, 30 July 2025, to introduce Trade Remedies Law and its Implementing Regulations with the participation of more than forty-five companies. The workshop was directed toward building materials manufacturing sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The workshop aimed to introduce the Saudi Trade Remedies Law, GAFT’s role in protecting domestic industry, the impact of applying trade remedy instruments, as well as appropriate mechanisms to address injury on domestic industries. It also highlighted the role in handling trade remedy complaints and procedures for dealing with confidential data.

The workshop reflects GAFT’s commitment to strengthening communication with the private sector and raising awareness among the business community regarding the Trade Remedies Law and its regulations in the context of international trade. The workshop also underscored GAFT’s efforts to safeguard domestic industry from unfair trade practices, thereby enhancing its competitiveness.

Since the issuance of the Trade Remedies Law on 23 November 2022, GAFT has addressed numerous issues across various sectors, the latest of which is the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on imports into KSA from the Republic of India

GAFT seeks to strengthen and maximize KSA’s international trade gains, enable Saudi exports to access global markets, attract investment, and defend its interests in the field of foreign trade, contributing to the development and growth of the national economy.
