GAFT Holds a virtual Workshop on WTO and KSA’s Commitments

The Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade held a virtual workshop on Wednesday, 13 August 2025, to introduce the World Trade Organization and Saudi Arabia’s commitments thereto. The workshop was attended by more than 90 representatives from both the public and private sectors and came as part of GAFT’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness of international trade regulations.
The workshop addressed the importance of the WTO and its role in regulating international trade relations, in addition to providing an overview of its agreements, which constitute the legal framework governing trade among member states.
The Workshop also highlighted the benefits associated with KSA’s membership in the WTO and its impact on the economic environment, particularly regarding protecting domestic industry from harmful trade practices
GAFT works to maximize KSA’s international trade gains, enable Saudi exports to access global markets, attract investment, and advance KSA’s interests in foreign trade, thereby contributing to the growth of the national economy.
