Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade held a virtual workshop on Monday, 11 August 2025, titled Market Access for Goods under Free Trade Agreements, with the participation of representatives from both the public and private sectors.

The workshop introduced existing trade agreements related to market access for goods and explored ways to benefit from them. It also reviewed the key requirements and procedures for obtaining preferential treatment, as well as opportunities to access multiple markets through tariff reductions or eliminations. Additionally, it highlighted the preferential treatment granted to national goods in partner countries which is a factor that contributes to increasing trade volumes among member states.

The workshop reflects GAFT’s role in raising awareness of trade agreements and policies related to Saudi Arabia’s foreign trade, to empower Saudi exports to access global markets, open new markets, and remove external barriers they may face. These efforts contribute to enhancing KSA’s international trade gains and safeguarding its interests in the field of foreign trade, thereby supporting the growth of the national economy.

GAFT is dedicated to maximizing KSA’s international trade gains, enabling Saudi exports to access global markets, attracting investment, and defending KSA’s interests in foreign trade, all of which contribute to the development of the national economy.
