KSA Delegation Concludes its Visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Affirms Commitment to Strengthening Trade Relations
The Saudi delegation concluded its visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed by Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Sakran, Deputy Governor of Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade for International Relations, on behalf of H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of GAFT, Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi. The visit took place from 19 to 21 May 2025, with the participation of six government entities and several private sector companies.
The visit aimed to strengthen trade relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, through participation in the 14th Sarajevo Business Forum as a guest country, exploring cooperation opportunities in targeted sectors, attracting foreign investments, enhancing government-to-government communication, and holding a Saudi Bosnian roundtable meeting. Additionally, a commercial cooperation agreement was signed in the field of HVAC system manufacturing and services.
Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Sakran affirmed the importance of this visit and KSA’s participation in the forum, which contributes to enhancing KSA’s international relations and reflects its pivotal role in the global economy.
The forum discussed the role of government policies in promoting business growth, empowering business through technology and innovation, and strategic business practices in the tourism sector and their economic impact.
It also highlighted key sectors of interest including halal industry, defense, energy and renewable energy, communications and digital transformation, infrastructure, and construction.
During the visit, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Sakran, Deputy Governor of GAFT for International Relations, accompanied by H.E. Mr. Osama Al-Ahmadi, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Bosnia and Herzegovina, held meetings with H.E. Mr. Elmedin Konaković, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina; H.E. Mr. Vedran Lakić, Minister of Energy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina; H.E. Mr. Besar Durmishi, Minister of Economy and Labor of the Republic of North Macedonia; H.E. Mr. Edin Delić, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia; H.E. Ms. Ljiljana Lovrić, Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations; Mr. Draško Milinović, Director General of the Communications Regulatory Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Mr. Marko Kubatlija, Director General of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Mr. Damir Alijudžić, Director of the Agency for Halal Quality Certification; Mr. Sanin Tanković, Director of the Food Safety Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Mr. Ahmet Egrlić, President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina; and Mr. Armin Vlajčić, CEO of Codecta.
