The Brazilian G20 chairmanship discussed many priorities of the Trade and Investment Working Group, such as trade and sustainable development, women's participation in international trade, sustainable growth in investment agreements, and WTO reform by strengthening the multilateral trading system.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the secretariat of the Trade and Investment Working Group organized a workshop in collaboration with the Business Networking Group (B20) and the Business and Sustainable Development Initiative (T20), in which it sought to bridge the gap between the business world and the academic community, discussing the challenges and opportunities of trade, sustainable development goals and bringing up success stories on trade sustainability to share knowledge and ideas. 

Brazil's chairmanship of the Working Group seeks to reach consensus among Member States on many outcomes, including the G20 Principles for the Design and Implementation of Trade-Related Sustainable Development Measures. The Working Group holds several meetings among formal G-20 meetings to discuss principles and share experiences and views.

The General Authority of Foreign Trade works to enhance the gains of the Kingdom of International Trade, its international presence, and its participation in several international organizations to ensure the achievement of common goals and sustainable development.
