The General Authority of Foreign Trade holds a workshop to discuss the challenges of the private sector in trade exchange

​ Today, Thursday, 12 Jumada Al-Ula 1443, corresponding to 16 December 2021, the General Authority of  Foreign Trade held a workshop entitled “Discussion of the challenges of the private sector in international trading in cooperation with the national committees of the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce in the presence of His Excellency the Governor of the General Authority of Foreign Trade, Abdul Rahman bin Ahmed Al-Harbi. His Excellency the Governor inaugurated the workshop through a speech in which he emphasized the vital role played by the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and National Committees in embodying the interests of the private sector, and taking care of its interests, as well as working to achieve its goals in serving the Saudi economy at the local and international levels. His Excellency also stressed that the private sector is the strategic partner of the General Authority of ​Foreign Trade and one of the most important factors supporting economic development, stressing his belief that the voice of the private sector should be parallel to what government sectors provide on an ongoing basis. The workshop aims to identify the challenges and obstacles facing the private sector in the international trading, and to identify appropriate solutions and proposals to enhance the role of the private sector in foreign trade, and the support required to solve challenges in foreign trade; this workshop comes as an effort by the General Authority of ​ Foreign Trade to enhance channels of communication with the private sector and foreign companies operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.​
