The first meeting of the working group to follow up on the recommendations that are issued after the seventeenth session of the Saudi-Egyptian Joint Committee was held in Riyadh on Tuesday and Wednesday 22-23 March 2022 Chaired by His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Foreign Trade, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi from the Saudi side, Her Excellency Dr. Nevin Jammea, Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Arab Republic of Egypt, from the Egyptian side in the presence of public officials from various sectors of the two countries.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Qasabi thanked the Minister and the two sides for the recommendations made in the minutes in the economic, commercial, agricultural, social, health and other fields, which resulted in reaching and agreeing to sign memoranda of understanding and cooperation programs between the two countries.
His Excellency assured the importance of these meetings and their contribution to overcome barriers that stand against reinforcement of economic relations between the two fraternal countries, noting that the trade volume between the two countries in 2021 reached more than 52 billion riyals.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, and Her Excellency, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Nevin Jammea, signed the minutes of the first meeting of the working group to follow up on the recommendations issued by the seventeenth session and its included terms and recommendations that contribute in reinforcing the joint work of the Saudi-Egyptian sides.
