The General Authority of Foreign Trade concluded the training program "Introduction to International Trade" in cooperation with King Saud University, held in Riyadh, from 13 October to 21 November 2024, with the participation of (9) government entities, to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of the (107) government officials.
The program aims to increase the efficiency of government officials in the field of international trade, raise awareness of its importance and how it affects the local economy, and develop and enhance participants' skills in the areas of international trade, thereby contributing to the development of the national economy.
It focused on discussing (6) training topics in international trade, trade negotiations, international economic conventions and organizations, trade policies, international relations and diplomatic skills, protection of domestic industry from harmful practices and export defense in trade processing investigations, modelling and economics.
A number of relevant government entities participated in the training program, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Investment, the General Authority of Foreign Trade, the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, the Saudi Export Development Authority, and the National Competitiveness Centre.
