About Deputyship of International Relations

​​​​​ The International Relations Deputyship participates in supervising and following up the work of the coordination councils headed by the Ministry of Commerce (MC) or the General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT), in addition to managing the joint government committees assigned to MC and GAFT. It also participates in the preparation of high-level and ministerial visits. Besides, it prepares commercial and economic reports in coordination with the relevant authorities, and coordinates various internal and external meetings with visiting ministers, ambassadors and delegations. Therefore, enhancing international trade relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other countries, enabling the Saudi exports to access foreign markets, working towards opening new markets and eliminating the external obstacles fronting them, in coordination with the relevant government entities in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Missions

  1. Developing the Saudi bilateral trade relations through coordinating councils, joint government committees, and official internal and external visits.
  2. Participating in regional and international forums.
  3. Developing cooperation programs, memorandum of understanding, executive plans and other tasks related to the GAFT's work.
  4. Enabling Saudi exports to access foreign markets, and working towards opening new markets and eliminating the external obstacles fronting them, in coordination with the relevant government entities. ​
