Duties of the Department of Complaints:

 
 
 
 
 

  1. ​Receiving requests for complaints of trade remedies from the domestic industry or its representative according to the Law of Trade Remedies in International Trade.
  2. Providing technical support to the Saudi industry in collecting available data and providing advices in completing the request for complaints.
  3. Ensuring that the data required in requests for complaints are completed in order to be documentary accepted.
  4. Preparing the recommendation to documentary acceptance or rejection of the request for complaint and recommending about its registration in the complaints record.
  5. Studying the product subject to complaint/investigation, the like product, and the level of the representation of the Saudi industry.
  6. Providing technical support to the domestic industry to submit requests for complaints in accordance with the Common Law for Anti-dumping, Countervailing, and Safeguard Measures of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
  7. Following up the Technical Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council in conducting investigations.
  8. Supporting the representatives of the Kingdom in the Permanent Committee and the Ministerial Committee in their duties, and reviewing reports issued by the Technical Secretariat on investigations and other work related to trade remedies.
  9. Following up the findings of the GCC trade remedies investigations and the imposition of measures and the effectiveness of imposing the duties and the measures taken in this regard.
  10. Communicating with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority to coordinate in regards with the imports information, control/monitoring and collection of GCC measures.
  11. Participating in the awareness campaigns on the role of the GAFT and the TRD. ​
