Duties of the General Department of Anti-dumping and Subsidy Investigations:

 
 
 
 
 

  1. Examining the accuracy and adequacy of the information and evidence provided by the domestic industry in the registered complaint in cooperation with the General Department of Injury and Safeguard investigations.
  2. Making recommendations on the initiation of investigations and reviews and preparing the necessary notices and announcements at all stages of investigations and reviews in cooperation with the General Department of Injury and Safeguard investigations.
  3. Preparing and reviewing questionnaires and answers thereof by foreign exporters related to dumping and subsidies inquiries.
  4. Conducting the necessary investigation to prove the existence of dumping or actionable subsidy.
  5. Preparing initial and final reports and other reports and findings of investigations and reviews in cooperation with the General Department for Injury and Safeguard investigations.
  6. Preparing the necessary notifications for the World Trade Organization (WTO) in cooperation with all other departments.
  7. Conducting the on-spot verification visits to the foreign exporting companies cooperating in the investigation, to verify the data provided in their answers of the questionnaires and preparing relevant reports.
  8. Applying the calculations of dumping, subsidy and countervailing measures in accordance with the provisions of the Law and its Executive Regulation.
  9. Making a recommendation and draft of the final determination on whether to impose the measures in cooperation with the General Department for Injury and Safeguard investigations.
  10. Conducting reviews on the measures in cooperation with other departments.
  11. Participating in the preparation of technical defenses related to the calculations of subsidy and dumping in the event that Saudi exports are exposed to trade remedies investigations (Anti-dumping and subsidy).
  12. Coordinating with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority regarding imports, monitoring/control and collection, and implementing the mutual protocols in cooperation with other departments.
  13. Following up the Technical Secretariat of the GCC in conducting investigations.
  14. Supporting the representatives of the Kingdom in the Permanent Committee and the Ministerial Committee in their duties, and reviewing reports issued by the Technical Secretariat on investigations and other work related to trade remedies.
  15. Participating in preparing the Kingdom's negotiating position regarding trade remedies.
  16. Participating in the preparation of statistics and periodic reports on trade remedies investigations.
  17. Participating in awareness campaigns on the role of the GAFT and the TRD.
