​​​​​​​​​​ ​​The General Authority for Foreign Trade is concerned with promoting Saudi exports, attracting foreign investments, and enhancing trade relations with brotherly and friendly countries by opening new markets, presenting investment opportunities in the Kingdom to potential investors, translating and explaining regulations to those interested and others.

Objectives​

 
 
 
 
 

Contribute to enabling the development of the Kingdom's trade and investment exchange with its international partners and target markets, thus contributing to the achievement of the Authority's strategic objectives.

Duties

 
 
 
 
 

  • Contribute to enabling the entry of Saudi exports abroad in coordination with the competent government entities, and referring of commercial opportunities to the government and private sectors.
  • Contribute to attracting mutual investments, referring investment opportunities in coordination with the competent government entities, and referring investment opportunities to ​the governmental and private sectors.
  • Contribute to facilitate trade and solving challenges that hinder the entry of the Kingdom's trade, and follow up on the implementation by countries of their obligations under international trade agreements and treaties.
  • Provide technical support to the Saudi private sector, and contribute to raising awareness of international trade topics and maximizing its use of trade agreements, concessions, obligations, and opportunities.
  • Support the Kingdom's representation in regional and international organizations and forums related to foreign trade affairs, and participate in trade conferences and forums as deemed appropriate by the Authority.
  • ​Develop bilateral trade relations.
