 Trade Cooperation Committee Holds 62nd Meeting in Cooperation Council

The sixty-second meeting was held by Their Excellencies the Ministers of Commerce of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. Chaired by H.E Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf Minister of State and Cabinet Member. With the participation of H.E Dr. Nayef bin Falah Al-Hajraf the Secretary-General of GCC. On Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh.

 

Several topics on the agenda were dealt with in the meeting, which aim to strengthen trade and economic relations between the GCC states, enhance its gains and stimulate its growth.

 

Their Excellencies were updated on the developments of the Gulf negotiating team's work with countries and international blocs. As well as the outcomes of the twelfth ministerial meeting of the World Trade Organization, and the work of the Small and Medium Enterprises and Entrepreneurship Committee, the Internal Trade Committee, the Consumer Protection Committee, and the Foreign Trade Committee.

 

​​Anne-Marie Trevelyan the United Kingdom's Minister of International Trade attended the meeting of the signing ceremony of the joint statement to launch free trade negotiations between the GCC countries and Britain.
