The Board of Directors of the General Authority of Foreign Trade, headed by his Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi, Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors, has issued the Executive Regulations of the Law of Trade Remedies in International Trade, based on the Law of Trade Remedies in International Trade issued by the Royal Decree No.60 on 29 Rabi-Al-Thani 1444 AH.
The Law of Trade Remedies in International Trade aims to protect the domestic industry in the Kingdom from injury caused by dumped and subsidized imports and to safeguard from injury caused by the increase in imports, by imposing trade remedies measures against these imports, and to defend the Kingdom's exports subject to trade remedies proceedings.
The Law consists of thirty-seven articles, distributed into twelve chapters. The Law sets provisions on the final and provisional measures, complaints, investigations, reviews, anti-circumvention, and other articles.
It is worth mentioning that the Law of Trade Remedies in International Trade participates in enhancing the competitiveness of domestic products and attract quality investments and new industries that contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
