Group to follow up on Saudi-Egypt Committee Recommendations Holds its Second Meeting in Cairo

The group's second meeting began today to follow up on the recommendations of the 17th session of the Joint Saudi-Egypt Committee in Cairo from 6-7 September, headed by the Deputy Governor of the General Authority of Foreign Trade of International Relations, Mr. Abdelaziz bin Omar Al-Sakran from the Saudi side, and from the Egyptian side, the Head of Agreements and Foreign Trade Sector in the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Egypt, Dr. Amani Al-Wasal.

This meeting is an extension to the importance of bilateral work between Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt to document brotherly ties, strengthen cooperation and elevate it to a higher level, and contribute to the enhancement of trade between the two countries.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Sakran thanked Dr. Amani Al-Wasal and the two sides for the accomplished recommendations included in the official report in economic, commercial, agricultural, social, health, and other fields. Which resulted in reaching an agreement to sign memoranda of understanding and cooperation programs between the two countries.

The Deputy stressed the importance of these meetings and their contribution to resolving any obstacles that come in the way of enhancing economic relations between the two brotherly countries.

The meeting was also attended by government officials from various sectors of the two countries, and the value of trade between the Kingdom and the Arab Republic of Egypt during 2022 was more than $20 billion.

It is worth noting that the General Authority of Foreign Trade aims to enhance the gains of the Kingdom's international trade and defend its interests in the areas of foreign trade, thereby contributing to the development of its national economy.
