Dr. Al Qasabi Heads Board of Directors of General Authority of Foreign Trade 14th meeting

His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi the Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the board of directors of the General Authority of Foreign Trade headed the fourteenth meeting of the board of directors. In the presence of Their Excellencies the board members. On Thursday 5 Safar 1444 AH, corresponding to 1 September 2022, at the authority’s headquarters in Riyadh.
 
Several topics were reviewed on the board’s agenda. Including following up on previous decisions and directives of the board, presenting the authority’s achievement in the current year, and discussing the most important updates regarding the implementation of the authority’s priorities for 2022. Restructuring the board’s sub-committees, in addition to the regular report of the trade remedies’ cases. The necessary measures regarding these topics were taken by the board. 
 
The results of Ministerial Conference No. (12)  of WTO were reviewed and a set of outputs and decisions was issued in this regard. The board also discussed several reports and presentations on the agenda.
 
It is worth mentioning that the authority aims in enhancing the Kingdom’s foreign trade gains and defending its interest in foreign trade fields, thus contributing to the development of its national economy. The authority’s board of directors is composed of (14) members representing various government agencies, and four independent, highly qualified, and experienced members in the field of the authority’s work.        ​
