His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the General Authority of Foreign Trade and Chairman of the Saudi side of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi visited the brotherly Republic of Iraq, to enhance economic relations between the two countries and follow-up on topics related to the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council.
During the visit, His Excellency met with the Prime Minister of Iraq Mr. Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, conveying greetings and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince to His Excellency, wishing beloved Iraq further progress and prosperity.
He also met with Their Excellencies the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning Dr. Mohammed Ali Tamim (Chairman of the Iraqi side of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council), His Excellency the Iraqi Minister of Trade Mr. Atheer Al-Ghurairy, and His Excellency the President of the Supreme Judicial Council Dr. Faiq Zaidan, to enhance the strategic partnership within the framework of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council.
This visit is one of the outcomes of the meeting of His Highness the Crown Prince with His Excellency the Iraqi Prime Minister Mr. Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, to enhance the economic relations between the two countries.
The Council aims to enhance communication between the two countries at a strategic level and elevate bilateral relations to new heights in various fields, including economic, developmental, security, investment, tourism, culture and media, In addition enhance the joint cooperation between both sides in important international and regional affairs, protecting common interests, and developing partnership between the private sector in both countries. The Council ( the Saudi side) includes fifteen members of Their Highnesses and Excellencies.
