Protecting the domestic industry from injury resulting from dumped and subsidized imports, and resulting from the increase in imports, and defending the Kingdom’s exports that are subject to trade remedies proceedings, which contributes to achieving the Kingdom's goals in accordance with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 by enhancing the competitiveness of national products, attracting investments, establishing new industries, and increasing job opportunities.

    1. Defending the Kingdom's exports that are subject to investigations by foreign trade remedies authorities.
    2. Representing the Kingdom in hearings, consultations and negotiations regarding the defense of Kingdom’s exports.
    3. Providing legal defense to foreign trade remedies authorities to defend the interests of the Kingdom's exporters.
    4. Providing the necessary technical assistance to the Kingdom's exporters to defend their interests.
    5. Representing the Kingdom in issues related to trade remedies in international organizations.
    6. Addressing issues related to negotiations and consultations on trade remedies.
    7. Representing the Kingdom in domestic​ and international litigation procedures in cases related to trade remedies.
    8. Providing local support to introduce the concept and role of trade remedies in protecting the domestic industry to provide a competitive, healthy and fair-trade environment, free from injury resulting from dumped or subsidized imports, which contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. As to contribute in the stability and diversity of domestic industries, and the establishment of domestic industries. The TRD targets various domestic industries, investors, exporters, and various governmental and public agencies, including judicial, educational authorities, and other institutions concerned with industries and local and international market.
    9. Providing consultations and awareness-raising for the public and private sectors.
    10. Holding events to exchange experiences with other countries in trade remedies.
    11. ​Supervising the draft ​of the laws and regulations related to trade remedies in the Kingdom and their amendments by seeking public opinions in this regard. In addition, the TRD provides its views and recommendations regarding the laws, regulations and other governmental decisions in the Kingdom on issues of trade remedies, in line with the Kingdom's international obligations.
